The Pia Corneliusson Collection
We are so pleased to present long nail legend Pia Corneliusson on our NailBytes pages this week. We featured Pia several months ago when we discovered her website through a link placed on the message board by a fan of hers, as we borrowed some pictures from her website and displayed them back then.
Several weeks ago I received a nice email from Pia as she just wrote me to say hello and say how pleased she was to have her website linked to ours. She also posed a question : Would you like me to send some pictures to you so that you can post them on NailBytes. We thought about it for a few seconds and said yes : )
This is the most complete Pia collection so far, 15 pictures included. Pia sent me the actual photographs and we scanned them for ourselves, so you may find these a little larger than what you have seen on her website.
I cannot help but think back about 4 or 5 years when I first saw that big magazine shot of Pia with the long nails on NTC. I think you all the know the picture I am talking about. And here we are several years later weeing some more of her collection featuring nail shots and some glamor shots. And isn't it interesting as you look through these pics, how similar she does look to Olivia Newton John!
After I received the picture package from Pia, I wrote back to thank her and I asked the usual questions ... why do/did you grow your nails so long? I asked her to tell us about her hobby (afghans), and asked her to tell us about a few of the pictures she sent in ... and here was her response ...
"ok...i started growing my nails cause mom said i should stop biting them, hahaha..and then the book of Guinness Records wanted them inside with a photo and they were there for 5 years and radio and magazines wanted the pic of them, which i sent and so on, i now have them in a box here home...i have always loved afghan cause of their looks and long hair, also the smart orientalcats which are not like cats are more like dogs, the afghan is like a cat and the cats are like a dog, ahhahahaa...my lovely car the Charger is the best looking car and to drive the fastest speed., love dragracing ..i love strong men thats why i often talk to LAPD policeguys...i work at the court here in sweden as a secratary, so we have alot incommon....ive done much modelling during the years too and i like the actor Billy when he plays Native americans and ive meet him too in LA..hes cool..and i sell and have had artshows of my beloved art paintings in oil of all afghans or abstract, im much for color..thats me....i love snow and nature here.thats me pretty much....pia"
I wish to thank Pia for allowing us to post these pictures, it's a great honor to display all of them, especially when she took the time to mail them to us from her home in Sweden.
